Deborah Henson-Conant has arranged Beethoven’s “Für Elise” for solo pedal harp. Says the arranger, “As a kid, I heard my mother play “Für Elise” on piano, and I determined to play it on harp – despite some surprisingly tricky sections! That meant re-envisioning parts of the piece to change them from ‘really difficult’ to ‘really fun.’ Once I figured it out, I committed to making an arrangement that would be accessible to all pedal harp players at an intermediate level––and voilá, now YOU can play it too!
