Mikrokosmos for Harp

This book includes13 solos and 7 Ensemble pieces of Bela Bartok’s 153 progressive Mikrokosmos pieces for piano. Marilyn Marzuki has arranged this selection for lever or pedal harp. Most of the pieces are in modes, and Marilyn gives explanations of the tonality for each piece. These progressive studies are excellent for rhythmic and sight-reading practice. Because of the variety of modes used, each piece has its own unique flavor. Sharping levers required for a majority of the pieces are F, C, and B. Pieces #14 through 20 are for 2 or more harps, and some of them require harps with a full set of sharping levers. Most pieces do not require lever changes within the music.
